El chop suey es un plato de origen chino-estadounidense que literalmente significa "trozos mezclados". Usualmente consiste en varias carnes cocinado rápidamente en un wok o sartén con verduras.

Este platillo me salvó muchas veces en mi época como foráneo, por su facilidad para preparar y bastante barato por todo lo que salía para comer durante la semana. Es una receta muy fácil de personalizar, en este caso solo utilicé pollo, ajo, cebolla, zanahoria, jícama y germen de soya.

Es servido con arroz blanco o Yakimeshi y Soya con Chile, ambas recetas pueden verlas en mi recetario.

  8. 250 gr. germen de soya
  9. 1/2 taza salsa de soya
  10. 1/4 taza agua natural
  11. 1 taza champiñones (opcional)

  13. 1/4 taza apio picado (opcional)

  1. En un sartén coloca un poco de aceite, asa la proteína y la carne. En este caso utilicé solo pollo. Añade 3 cucharadas de salsa de soya por cada 250 gr. de proteína.
  2. En otro sartén agregamos un poco de aceite de oliva y acitronamos el diente de ajo, la cebolla fileteada y zanahoria rallada.
  3. Cuando los vegetales estén suaves y transparentes añadimos la jícama, el germen de soya previamente lavado y todos los vegetales que desees.

    Tapamos durante 3 minutos a fuego medio-bajo para que el germen se cosa con el vapor y suelte todo su jugo.
  4. Añadimos 1/4 de taza de salsa de soya y 1/4 de taza de agua para mejorar el sabor de los ingredientes, mezcla muy bien y vuelve a tapar por 5-10 minutos a fuego medio.
  5. Para finalizar añade toda la carne y mezcla bien todos los sabores, sirve con un poco de salsa de soya, arroz o yakimeshi.

    Es un platillo muy surtido que te puede durar días.
